I’m Donna, and I make things - mostly out of silver, but also from whatever else seems interesting at the time. (I don't like to limit myself.) I’m the hands (and brain) behind Somervail Silver, working out of my studio in Kaiapoi, New Zealand.

I started making jewellery years ago - first for fun, then because I couldn’t stop. Over time it’s become more focused: simple shapes, solid materials, and things you’ll actually wear.

These days, you’ll find sterling silver, pearls, sparkling crystal, and now and then a bit of ceramic or stone. If it’s here, I made it. If it’s handmade, it’s mine from start to finish.

You’ll also come across the odd soap, wax melt, or scented thing - because the studio refuses to stay in one lane.

Somervail Silver is about things that last and feel good to wear. I make everything myself, in small batches, with as much care as I can manage. No grand speeches, just solid work.
