The tuatara has survived 250 million years. Your old 5 cent coin has survived since 1967. Together, they make a pretty good earring.
New Zealand's 5 cent coin was retired in 2006 — but these little tuataras are too good to disappear into a jar. Each coin is hand-polished, drilled, and bevelled, then finished with Renaissance Wax until it shines like new. Some of the older coins carry a little wear — that's not a flaw, that's history.
The hooks are sterling silver, my own design, handmade with smooth, rounded ends — not the sharp-cut edges you'll find on mass-produced findings.
Choose your year from the dropdown — birth years, anniversary years, or just your favourite. I don't have every year, so if it's not listed, I don't have it.
Each pair is made to order — please allow an extra day for dispatch.
